My educational iPad app named "Darkroom" is officially completed! Although Gamesalad allowed me to export the final application to my own personal desktop computer, publishing apps is insanely difficult and to do so, one must jump through tons of financial and bureaucratic hoops, so distributing the Darkroom app for public use simply is not going to happen. To be even trickier, when you export your app to your desktop, Gamesalad includes a script in your final application that prevents the app from working if sent from device-to-device. Naturally, this becomes problematic for student-designers like myself wanting to showcase the app for functionality purposes. I am in the process of researching how to web-host the application for use, but until I figure out a way to do so and accommodate the 26MB upload obstacle, static graphics of the interface will just have to do. Below is the order of navigation of the app with animations (some of which start automatically, while others happen when touch-prompted). After all's said and done, although it's cool to be able to tell people you know how to design an app, I did not enjoy the app design process. Maybe future endeavors will change my mind. Who knows?
