Below is my 30-second Promax BDA submission for the 2015 Student Challenge. The point of the video is to tell why you design. I hand-drew the illustrations and animated them in After Effects. This is my first After Effects animation.
With graduation right around the corner, I've been designing personal stationary. This includes my resume, letterheads, and invoices. Below are all just sample designs I've been exploring.
I had a blast art directing this music video! I chose the song "Don't Stop" by ODESZA. The video needs work so I'm going to wait to post it, but check out a still graphic from my makeup and post-production work! Huge thanks to my super awesome boyfriend who let me put spirit gum and liquid latex all over him. P.S. I designed and made the costume!

I worked with some Georgia State University faculty and staff to help create a new template for a publication they put out titled "liquid blackness". The publication focuses on African Americans in art and pop-culture, and their influence on locals around Atlanta. This was a great opportunity for me, and I am really excited to be able to offer "liquid blackness" a new, revamped, easy to read look.

Peachtree Publishers is coming out with a book in spring 2015 called "Rodeo Red". It's a super cute book, so I was thrilled to be asked to work on their event kit to help promote the book. Event kits are sent out to book sellers such as Barnes & Nobel and gives them a blueprint and auxiliary materials to help them host an in-store event to help promote the book.
Copy written by the Peachtree Publishers team; original book illustrations by Molly Idle, and I took the illustrations and prepped them for the event kit. I did all the design work on the event kit, as well as designed the new official "Peachtree Publishers Event Kit" logo.

All semester long, I have been interning for Peachtree Publishers, an indie children's book publisher in Atlanta, Georgia. There's a lot of great books coming out of Peachtree Publishers, and I am excited to be a designer on their publicity team!

HOLY COW! My designs have made it to Canada!
The Basset Hound Rescue of Georgia referred me to The Boston Terrier and Pug Rescue of Southern Manitoba in Canada, who recently contacted me for a shirt commission. The shirt was for their annual Manitoba Basset Hound Walk, with all shirt proceeds going to the rescue, which is another 501(c)(3) organization.
The client did not have specifications for the event further other than that the event name needed to be present on the shirt. Wanting to further the illustrative directions I've explored with the past few shirt commissions I've done, I decided early on I wanted to explore character development styles. The biggest concern that I had in doing another basset shirt was how do I create another basset character that does not look like characters I developed for other clients? That was really important to me, that I did not recreate the same design for similar organizations.
After a few sketches and color schemes, I finalized the design!
While working on the various basset sketches, I realized that in order to create harmony and repetition within the design, that even though the bassets were in different poses, it was important they all had the same faces, otherwise the design would not have been as strong (in my sketches below, the running sketch of the basset has a profile of the face, which you can use as reference for what I based my decision on).
I love working on shirts for rescues! Design should always inspire and better the community!
