To capture the attitude and overall feel of a future design, sometimes designers create moodboards (also sometimes known as "tone paintings"); moodboards are made up of collaged images that envoke mood and inspire typography, imagery, color, and a number of elements for the design project. Below is a moodboard I created to help inspire my Seattle grunge collector's edition box set project; ideally, I would like to capture and revive David Carson's insanely genius and iconic grunge style with my box set's design. I intend for the box set to consist of three discs, a promotional item (possibly a t-shirt), and a booklet outlining the history of Seattle grunge.
